As the western-most National Park in the United States, Volcanoes is the second pedal in The Americana Series, and the 6th in the Junior Ranger Series. This fuzz is a departure from the smooth and subtle Eastern cousins, Acadia and Saguaros. Although Volcanoes is nasty at heart, the dynamic tone controls allow for a huge range of sounds that you can make work with your rig.

First row of knobs: Volume, Scoop, Character
Volume controls the master volume of the entire circuit. It gets very loud.
Scoop controls the presence of middle frequencies in the fuzz. Scooped to very present
Character controls the overall tone and feel of the fuzz
Second row of knobs: Gain, Depth
Gain controls the gain level of the first gain-stage in the circuit. This part of the circuit was reworked to provide a blistering 30+db of clean, flat gain to allow you to sculpt the behavior of the fuzz
Depth controls the frequency being fed into the first gain-stage. CW is beefy, CCW is thin and treble-y
Power
It is critical that you use a high quality, isolated and filtered power supplies with The Americana Series. Every modern measure was taken to ensure quiet, recording-worthy noise suppression, but low-quality power and power supplies can inject unwanted noise in these effects. Even though we've designed them to play nicely on a daisy chain, we don't recommend it.
